In this his partnership formed by Purplepass and Pensacola Christian College, Purplepass will provide a full spectrum of services to the college. In general they will be providing their ticket services and professional box office experience to the theater department.
Also, Purplepass will be providing their services to a few very large performances each year.
At these large scale events all students are required to attend, and the university had faced some challenges in ticketing these events. That is where Purplepass comes in, they have been slated to roll out a new feature just in time for this partnership. Purplepass has spent some time working with its developers to bring a state of the art solution to the university.
A new coupon code stacking feature will allow the estimated 6,000 students who attend these events to reserve their free tickets with their student IDs. Students will also have the ability to choose their own seats. In addition, this new feature while being in the same transaction they can also reserve seats for their friends (using their student IDs) so students can reserve and sit together.
The main goal is to allow the students to the freedom to use their student IDs to reserve their free tickets, while being able to choose their own seats AND while being able to reserve seats for their friends. We were able to accomplish this and keep it all in the same transaction.
The main issue, allowing students to use their student IDs and allowing them to sit together was resolved. Purplepass will also be selling tickets online for friends and family that want to attend. Stay tuned for other announcements from Pensacola Christian College about other ticketed events run by Purplepass, which may include graduation ceremonies and holiday events.
