Boomtown Reno Is A Great Place To See Concerts By Famous Bands -- And A Top-Notch Casino And Hotel

Boomtown Reno is such a great place to have fun that you can leave with far more money than you had when you came after spending considerable money on great food, great entertainment, a luxury hotel room, and fun for children.

Boomtown Reno calls itself a casino and a hotel although it's far more than that. The casino by itself is an excellent reason to go. Recently, someone won more than $500,000 at Boomtown’s Wheel of Fortune game. So many people have won significant money gambling that Boomtown has a website listing the winners.

The casino includes about 600 slot machines, video poker, blackjack, craps, poker, roulette and a sports gambling facility with the best sportsbook in northern Nevada. The hotel includes 318 rooms with numerous work- and pleasure-related amenities.

The Boomtown has numerous dining options, including its “famous all-you-can-eat lobster buffet” on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. It also has a steakhouse, a diner that’s open all day, a deli, and three bars and lounges. The Guitar Bar has live entertainment every night. Here’s the schedule. In addition, children can go to the Fun Center, which includes over 30,000 square feet of arcade games, carnival rides, and miniature golf.

Besides the daily entertainment, Boomtown Reno regularly hosts big-name concerts. The 2016 schedule includes two March 19 shows by the Pure Prairie League, a country rock band that has recorded several Top 40 hits, and two May 29 shows by the rock band April Wine. Purplepass is selling tickets to these concerts hereherehere, and here.
